The National Open Research Forum functions through a number of working groups that meet separately and then coordinate cross-group work through working group chairs.
The six groups are:
Development of a draft Vision for the Open Science agenda for Ireland based on current European discussions
- Open Access- Principles and Implementation
Revision of the National Open Access principles to take account of requirements under recent European Council Conclusions
- Research Data – National Principles and Management
Development proposed national principles for open research data in Ireland
- Human Resources
Consideration of current capacities and capabilities in Ireland to deliver on Open Science from the human resources perspective, including the librarian/repository aspects
Consideration of current capacities and capabilities in Ireland to deliver on Open Science from the current infrastructure and future infrastructure needs (including evaluation and metrics)
Preparation of demonstrators and examples of good practice already in the Irish system
To include: Showing value of the investment, demonstrate practical examples from Ireland that can be shared, consider best practice examples and approaches from elsewhere.
